‘Venom: The Last Dance’ will make its theatrical debut on October 25, with Tom Hardy returning as Eddie Brock. But according to a recent message from the actor, this will be the last time fans see him as the titular character.
Hardy wrote under a new Instagram post promoting the threequel, “That’s all she wrote for me and the big guy; we promise to make this the best of them all. We’ve loved making these. Thank you for your [love] and support – come join us for ‘the Last Dance.’ For those of you that enjoy a good time from all of us in the team – Let us entertain you.”
Despite Hardy’s words, there are rumors that he might return in future Marvel projects like ‘Spider-Man 4’ or ‘Avengers: Secret Wars.’
Venom made a cameo appearance in 2021’s ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ and left a piece of himself on Earth-616, as Doctor Strange sent him back to his universe along with other Spider-Man villains. That brief scene has fueled rumors of a possible team-up between Eddie Brock and Peter Parker in the next installment.
The rumors grew when the latest ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ trailer teased the appearance of Knull, and insider Daniel Richtman recently claimed the God of Symbiotes could appear in more films though Marvel and Sony have not confirmed them. The script for ‘Spider-Man 4’ is still in the works.
