According to Deadline, Mason Dye from ‘Stranger Things’ will play Bombsight in the fifth and last season of ‘The Boys.’
More details are not available yet, but Bombsight was mentioned in ‘The Boys’ as the third oldest superhero who was active in the 1950s.
Sources say Bombsight will appear in ‘The Boys’ before moving to the upcoming prequel series ‘Vought Rising,’ where Dye is expected to become a regular alongside Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash.
‘The Boys’ stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Cameron Crovetti.
The series is based on the popular comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, who are also executive producers. It was developed by Eric Kripke, the executive producer and showrunner.
Other executive producers include Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Phil Sgriccia, Michaela Starr, Paul Grellong, David Reed, Meredith Glynn, Judalina Neira, Ken F. Levin, and Jason Netter.
Mason is the newest addition to the cast of ‘The Boys’ Season 5, which will be the final season of the show. Earlier reports also mentioned that Daveed Diggs would join in a yet-to-be-revealed regular role.
‘The Boys’ announced it on their social media with a humorous post, writing, “That’s all ya get for now.” He starred in ‘Trolls Band Together,’ ‘Soul,’ and ‘The Little Mermaid’ and worked on ‘Snowpiercer’ and ‘Central Park.’ Diggs played LaFayette and Thomas Jefferson in ‘Hamilton,’ winning a Tony and a Grammy. After Hamilton, he won an Independent Spirit Award for Blindspotting and appeared in ‘Wonder’ and ‘Black-ish.’
The fourth season of ‘The Boys’ is now on Prime Video and sets up the final season. In the last season, Victoria Neuman is close to becoming president, controlled by Homelander. Butcher is dying and has lost Becca’s son and his job. The team is upset with Butcher’s lies but has to work together to save the world.
