Carrie-Anne Moss recently shared her thoughts about ‘The Acolyte’s sudden cancellation after just one season.
Disney and Lucasfilm’s decision to end the series surprised many as Disney+ rarely cancels shows. Some had mixed reactions to the show, but the overall response was more positive than negative. (If you dismiss the fact that ‘The Acolyte’ got review-bombing, though.)
Carrie-Anne Moss played Master Indara in ‘The Acolyte.’ In an interview about her new movie ‘Die Alone,’ Moss explained why she wasn’t upset by ‘The Acolyte’s cancellation. “I don’t really invest in thinking about whether thing… It’s like when I was in a Marvel show and I was really shocked when it got cancelled in the end,” she explained. “You kind of get used to that so you don’t really… You can’t even have a moment of disappointment. It’s just not worth it. It just happens. It’s part of it.”
‘The Acolyte’ left fans with many unanswered questions, but Moss seems unfazed by the show’s abrupt end. It appears she’s familiar with how the entertainment industry works and learned to move on when projects don’t continue as planned.
Moss stars in the new movie ‘Die Alone,’ which came out on October 18 in theaters and on Digital and On Demand. The movie is written and directed by Lowell Dean, and it follows a young man with amnesia who teams up with a survivalist to find his missing girlfriend in a world taken over by mysterious creatures. Moss plays a character named Mae.
