Tom Holland recently joined Seth Meyers’s ‘Late Night’ show and recalled how no one seemed to recognize him as Spider-Man while he delivered pallets of his non-alcoholic beer brand, BERO, around New York City.
“I will say, credit to the New Yorkers who probably saw you and thought, ‘It can’t be going that badly for Tom Holland,’” Meyers joked. The Marvel actor agreed, “That’s probably what it was. ‘He must have really hit rock bottom.’”
Holland will soon return as Spider-Man in the franchise’s upcoming fourth installment. Production will start in summer 2025, with a release date set for July 24, 2026.
‘Spider-Man 4’ will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, replacing Jon Watts who directed the previous three movies. Holland shared great excitement about the new script, noting that “it really lit a fire in me.”
Plot details remain under wraps despite ongoing rumors, but Holland hopes to bring something as big as ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ to the table.
“Because I got the chance to work with [Tobey Maguire] and [Andrew Garfield], which felt like the most special experience, I wanted to make sure that if I was gonna do this again, we could service the fans and bring something that’s just as special and something that is just as exciting,” the actor told Meyers. “So, I really feel like we’ve cracked it. Our director and writers are doing fantastic work and I could not be more excited.”
Tom Holland will also star in Christopher Nolan’s next movie for Universal with Matt Damon and in ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ where he will reunite with Robert Downey Jr. Downey will return to the MCU as Doctor Doom.
