Sylvester Stallone brought President-elect Donald Trump on stage at Mar-a-Lago,praising him as “the second George Washington.”
Stallone and Trump shook hands during the America First Policy Institute gala, where Stallone delivered a keynote address. Speaking about Trump, Stallone said, “We are in the presence of a really mythical character. I love mythology.” He added, “Nobody in the world could’ve pulled off what he pulled off. So I’m in awe.” Stallone went on to praise Trump extensively, even comparing him to Jesus.
“I’ll just say this — and I mean it,” Stallone continued. “When George Washington defended his country, he had no idea that he was going to change the world. Because without him, you could imagine what the world would look like. Guess what? We got the second George Washington. Congratulations!”
During his speech, Stallone made a series of comparisons between Jesus Christ, his iconic boxing character Rocky Balboa, and Trump himself.
