‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ Beats ‘One Piece’ With Netflix Watch-Time

‘Avatar’ had almost double the watch time compared to ‘One Piece.’

As per Variety, Netflix’s ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ recently outperformed the ‘One Piece’ live-action series in terms of watch time in the US.

Nielsen’s weekly streaming rankings reveal that ‘Avatar’ nearly doubled the viewing minutes compared to ‘One Piece.’

‘Avatar’ had just under 2.6 billion minutes watched in its first four days, and ‘One Piece’ received 1.3 billion viewing minutes in the same period. Netflix’s data shows that the gap between the two series is not as wide, as ‘Avatar’ is leading by only 15%.

Fans Have Different Opinions About This Result

Discuss Avatar announced the news on twitter, and fan reactions were a mix of support and criticism for both shows.

One of the fans claimed we can relate to ‘Avatar’ more:

“‘Avatar’ relates to struggles of humans, ‘One Piece’ is fictional show with no real touching story.”

Another said both shows have their positives and negatives:

“One Piece’s live action was still the better adaptation. Genuinely don’t think it could’ve been done better. ATLA live action had lacking areas not that it was HORRIBLE or anything. Still one of the better ones to come out in recent years.”

‘One Piece’ live-action series was released in August last year. You can watch both shows on Netflix.
