Former MCU Actor Jonathan Majors Sentenced A Year Of Counseling Instead Of Jail Time

The ‘Loki’ actor was recently found guilty on two misdemeanor charges of harassment and assault.

A court ruled on Monday that Jonathan Majors must complete a year-long counseling program for assaulting ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari.

A Manhattan jury found Majors guilty of misdemeanor in December. The charge could have led to a year in jail, but Judge Michael Gaffey decided against it because both sides agreed it wasn’t necessary.

The Kang actor now must attend a 52-week batterer’s intervention program in LA as part of his sentence. He must also keep up with his allegedly ongoing mental health therapy.

If Majors fails to follow the court’s conditions, including a no-contact order with Jabbari, he risks a year in jail.

What Happened In The Past Year?

Jonathan Majors’ lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, said that he will commit to completing the court-ordered programs despite planning to appeal. She also mentioned how the trial and accusations cost Majors his ‘whole career.’

Grace Jabbari reacted as follows:

“He is not sorry and has not accepted responsibility. He will do this again. He will hurt other women. This is a man who believes he’s above the law. I had a career and life and body, all of which he’s damaged.”

Jabbari accused the ex-Marvel actor of attacking her in the back of a car last March. She reported that he hit her head, twisted her arm, and squeezed her finger until it broke.

Marvel Studios cut ties with Majors after the guilty verdict in December. He was set to play Kang the Conqueror in the MCU’s Multiverse Saga.
