Elisabeth Moss Teases ‘The Invisible Man’ Sequel: ‘We Are Close To It’

Moss hints that the sequel is almost ready to go.

Elisabeth Moss shares what she knows about the sequel to 2020’s ‘The Invisible Man.’

In her chat on the ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast, Moss revealed that they are closer than ever to starting the next movie:

“We are, I would say — and by we, I mean Blumhouse and my production company. We are closer than we have ever been to cracking it. I feel very good about it. We are very much intent on continuing that story, for sure.”

Moss also talked about another movie project. She said that ‘The Invisible Man’ director Leigh Whannell is currently making a movie called ‘The Wolf Man.’

She Updated Fans On ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ As Well

Moss also shared some updates on ‘The Handmaid’s Tale.’ She said that the show’s final season will start filming this summer, but fans might have to wait for a while:

“We are going back to shoot this summer. Our final season. People are starting to get upset [about the Season 6 delay]. Especially when I tell them that we haven’t even started shooting yet. Like, ‘When is it coming back?’ ‘Well…’ They get a little upset. It probably won’t be [released] until maybe 2025.”

‘The Invisible Man’ was first shown in theaters in 2020. It tells the story of Cecilia Kass — she is ‘haunted’ by her ex-boyfriend after he finds a way to become invisible. Moss has been wanting a sequel for a long time. She said the following about the possibility in 2022:

“I can’t really say much, but it’s definitely not — it’s not necessarily in the rearview at all, but I do think that we have, with any sequel, you obviously want to make sure that you are doing the original justice. And so none of us involved have any intention of just cracking out another thing and throwing it up and just seeing what happens. We really want it to be as good, if not better, than the first one. Did I actually answer the question at all? It’s not in the rearview. How’s that?”

‘The Invisible Man’ is available to stream on Freevee.
