Elizabeth Tulloch Is Sad To Bid Farewell To Lois Lane Role In ‘Superman And Lois’

The CW announced earlier this year that the show’s upcoming fourth season would be its last. Release date is yet to be revealed.

‘Superman And Lois’ production wrapped up in Vancouver, Canada, last week. Lead actress Elizabeth Tulloch said goodbye to fans in a recent Instagram post. She wrote:

“How lucky am I to have been able to inhabit this woman’s bones, and brain, and heart for the last 6 years, 4 of which were on ‘Superman And Lois.’ Lois Lane has been an icon for as long as Superman has because of her fierceness, her work ethic, her determination, her playfulness, her commitment to finding the truth no matter the cost.”

The actress took on the Lois Lane role in the 2018 Arrowverse crossover ‘Elseworlds.’

Her Thanks To The Cast And Crew

Tulloch teamed up with Tyler Hoechlin (Superman) for the script by Todd Helbing and Greg Berlanti in 2021. She thanked the team behind the project, including Berlanti Productions and casting director David Rapaport, in her message:

“‘Superman And Lois’ was a big, beautiful, epic show and it wouldn’t have happened without each and every one of you. Thank you thank you thank you. I already miss you all so much.”

Her words about the cast read:

“Thank you to our wonderfully amazing cast—but mostly to Tyler Hoechlin. My Superman. I am so grateful for your talent, your work ethic, and your commitment to making me laugh.”

She Appreciated The Next Lois Lane

The CW show got an average of 819,000 viewers during its third season and held a strong fan base. But the network president, Brad Schwartz, announced at the Television Critics Association event in February that it would end to avoid competition with James Gunn’s ‘Superman.’

Tulloch mentioned the 2025 film’s crew and the new Lois Lane actress, Rachel Brosnahan, as follows:

“I wish the best of luck to James Gunn and the rest of his cast and crew, and especially to Rachel Brosnahan—I’m sure you will be a wonderful Lois and I can’t wait to see what you do with the role. Have so much fun—I know I did. I’ll be grateful till the day I die that I had these few years to wake up every day and be Lois Lane.”
