Anya Taylor-Joy Doesn’t Have A Driver’s License Despite Her Car Stunts In ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’

The actress’s first experience behind the wheel came in a stunt scene for the post-apocalyptic action.

Anya Taylor-Joy recently told Entertainment Weekly that she didn’t get a driver’s license before filming her car stunts in ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.’ Her words read:

“I still don’t have my license. I haven’t been anywhere long enough to get a license.”

She referred to one scene and continued:

“Yeah, it is pretty cool that the first thing I learned to do in a car is a juicy lift 180. I feel pretty secure in that, but I love cars. I love Formula 1. My dad was a power boat racer, so we’re just pretty petrol-y as a family.”

The actress drove a car at high speed and yanked the handbrake to spin it during the scene mentioned above. She described the experience as ‘really crazy and slightly upsetting’ in a 2022 appearance on the ‘Graham Norton Show.’

She Already Decided Her Car Model

Taylor-Joy might get her license soon and knows which car she wants to buy after that. She shared:

“I know once I have my license, the stupid car that I’m going to get. I’ll probably break it. It’s a Ferrari Dino. Those are hot cars. It’s going to be bright yellow and I’m psyched.”

Her co-star, Chris Hemsworth, joked:

“Your driving test should just be you handing them a DVD of ‘Furiosa’: ‘You tell me if I can f*cking drive.’”

The actress plays a younger version of Charlize Theron’s Furiosa in the upcoming George Miller film. Hemsworth joins her as the evil Warlord Dementus.

‘Furiosa’ hits the big screen on May 24.
