The Last Of Us’ Isabela Merced Claims Season 2 Will ‘Break The Internet’

‘The Last of Us’ is coming back with Season 2, and Merced says it’s going to be a big deal on social media.

Isabela Merced promises that ‘The Last of Us’ Season 2 is going to be a big deal on social media.

Season 1 introduced us to ‘The Last of Us,’ and people who love the video game and those new to the story both liked the show. It seems Season 2 will bring even more to talk about. Merced, who plays Dina, teased one scene that will have everyone tweeting and posting about it. She told Buzzfeed:

“It’s really, really exciting. There’s a scene in particular that I think is going to be on everyone’s Twitter feed.”

She said Dina will explore her connection with Ellie (Bella Ramsey) in the next season, and their relationship will be at the heart of the story.

The Game Brings Some Scenes In Mind

There are many moments from ‘The Last of Us Part II’ that could be the scene Merced is talking about. The show plans to cover the game’s events over two seasons, so there’s a lot that can happen. One likely scene could be between Dina and Ellie at the Greenplace Supermarket. This location got leaked online earlier.

‘The Last of Us’ creator Neil Druckmann said last year that the show may include a deleted scene from the game:

“As a tease, I will say there is at least one element from a cut level that is planned [for] the show. I say that with the caveat that we haven’t started filming the show yet and all things are subject to change based on what we ultimately feel will be best for the show.”

The new season is set to come out next year. Rumors say it will be around March or April 2025.
