Krysten Ritter Is Waiting For A Call To Return To MCU As Jessica Jones

Krysten Ritter is willing to reprise her role as Jessica Jones.

Krysten Ritter wants to go back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for her role as Jessica Jones.

In a new interview with the Hollywood Reporter, the actress showed more interest in reprising her role, saying:

“One hundred percent [I would return as Jessica Jones]. I am ready, and I would, of course, be there in a heartbeat. She’s a character who I absolutely love, and she was a part of my life for so long. I played that character for five years, and she’s a character who’s very important to me and many women and men. So if the opportunity calls, I may or may not have an extra jacket already [Laughs].”

What Did Ritter Earlier Say About Returning To MCU?

There are rumors that Ritter’s Jessica Jones might cameo in the new Daredevil MCU series, ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’ In a past interview with ComicBook.com, Ritter was more excited than most Marvel Netflix actors about returning:

“I absolutely love Jessica more than anything. And I loved those years playing her. If there was ever an opportunity for her to pop up anywhere, I would be the first [to say yes]. I may or may not have the jacket ready to go in my closet. So, you never know, but if I ever had the opportunity to play her again, I would be so thrilled.”

Ritter’s comments suggest Marvel Studios hasn’t contacted her yet. However, Marvel projects are very secretive, and actors usually sign NDAs. For example, Andrew Garfield denied returning as Peter Parker before ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ came out.

Because of this secrecy, we can’t be sure about any actor’s involvement until the project is released. So, Ritter could still appear in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ or another MCU project.

‘Jessica Jones’ was the second series in the Defenders saga and received great reviews, scoring 83% on Rotten Tomatoes over three seasons. The show follows Jessica Jones rebuilding her life after her superhero career ends. She is haunted by PTSD after the mind-controlling villain Kilgrave made her kill someone.
