Joseph Quinn recently sat down with Josh Horowitz of the ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast to talk about his new projects, and gave a subtle hint at his possible return as Eddie Munson in ‘Stranger Things.’
Horowitz introduced the actor at the beginning of the interview as follows:
“It was just two years ago that Joe broke out in a huge way in ‘Stranger Things,’ RIP, Eddie Munson. But he’s alive and well today.”
It wasn’t clear whether the last remark referred to the character or Quinn himself, but the actor’s smirk after hearing it teased Eddie’s revival in the new episodes although he died last season.
The Actor Is ‘Hopeful’ About His Return
Joseph Quinn gave signals of Eddie’s return in previous interviews as well. He mentioned knowing the character’s future at the FACTS Belgian Comic-Con in April but refused to reveal any details.
The actor also said he was open to reprising the role in Season 5. His recent words to ET about fans’ hopes for a comeback read:
“I might have that feeling too. Or maybe I don’t. [Laughs] I don’t know! Who knows?”
‘Stranger Things’ Season 5 is currently in the works, but Quinn is yet to be announced as part of the cast. He is currently busy with other projects including ‘Gladiator 2’ and ‘The Fantastic Four.’
