Jennifer Connelly Teases ‘Really Positive’ Ending For Her Team In ‘Snowpiercer’ Series Finale

Jennifer Connelly hinted at what’s coming in the ‘Snowpiercer’ series finale.

In a recent conversation with TVLine, Jennifer Connelly talked about the ‘Snowpiercer’ series finale, saying it will be satisfying for viewers and end on a ‘hopeful note’:

“I really like the ending of it. I think it was really positive for ‘our team.’ It ends on a note of unity and community, with a hopeful note that I really enjoyed.”

‘Snowpiercer’ Moved To AMC

The show, which started on TNT in 2020 and is based on the 2013 film by Bong Joon-ho, moved to AMC for its fourth season. The first episode of this season aired on July 21, 2024. Connelly, who plays Melanie Cavill, is part of the sci-fi series as it heads towards its final episode, set to air on September 22. Ben Davis, executive vp original programming at AMC Networks and AMC Studios, previously said the following about the show:

“‘Snowpiercer’ is an edge-of-your-seat thrill ride with a loyal fanbase — similar to the passionate fandoms we serve across our biggest franchise series — and a welcome addition to AMC and AMC+. We look forward to giving viewers an opportunity to binge the first three seasons later this year, in anticipation of the arrival of a remarkable fourth season helmed by Paul Zbyszewski and this stellar cast.”

Tomorrow Studios founder and CEO Marty Adelstein, president/partner Becky Clements and executive vp Alissa Bachner also said in a statement:

“We love ‘Snowpiercer,’ and AMC is the perfect partner to share its final season, which completes an incredible series filled with brilliant talent that entertains viewers while exploring important global issues.”

The dystopian series is set in a post-apocalyptic ice age where only those on the train, Snowpiercer, have survived. The train is divided into sections by class: head, nose, and tail. There is a big gap between the luxuries given to the head passengers and the poor conditions in the tail. Survival is hard until a leader starts a revolution against the upper class. The final season arrived on July 21.
