‘Suicide Squad’s Scott Eastwood Waiting For Offers For More Superhero Roles

Scott Eastwood would be interested in another superhero movie part.

In a new conversation with ComicBook, ‘Suicide Squad’s Scott Eastwood revealed that he’s willing to take on another superhero role in a film.

“I would. It’s all, sort of, script-driven and director-driven,” the actor said of playing a superhero in a movie again. “Look, I have a relationship with David Ayer; I shot Fury with him years prior to doing that and that was one of those things where I knew he was a visionary. He’s a real artist.”

Eastwood continued, “When he said, ‘Hey, come and do this thing with me,’ I said, ‘No questions asked. Whatever you want, let’s go.’ I didn’t even really read the script, so I want to see his cut too, to be honest,” Eastwood added. “We can push for that, right? Let’s push for the David Ayer Cut.”

‘Suicide Squad’ came out in August 2016, and Eastwood played Lieutenant GQ Edwards in the film. “It was fun, like babysitting,” Scott previously said about his time filming ‘Suicide Squad.’ “It was great. Will [Smith] and Margot [Robbie] and Jared [Leto], they’re just the best.”

The actor noted that he got a direct call from director David Ayer about the role, explaining, “He called me on my cell [saying], ‘I have this thing, I don’t really have a script, but would you come and do it?’ and I said, ‘Yea, I’ll do a thing for you.'”

Eastwood also discussed turning down a role in a sequel film. He told Insider, “They didn’t want to pay me any money for those next movies and … they didn’t have another script for the other movie, so I didn’t know what I was going to be signing myself up for.”

He also revealed the conversation between him and his father, Clint Eastwood, “I said, ‘They don’t want to pay me.’ He said, ‘If it feels like they really need you, and if it’s a good part, then do it. If not, then don’t.'”

Scott plays Riggin Bigby in the upcoming film, ‘1992.’ It will arrive in theaters on August 30.
