Elizabeth Olsen Thinks Natasha Lyonne Can Handle ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Without Any Advice

The two starred together on Netflix’s ‘His Three Daughters’ along with Carrie Coon.

Natasha Lyonne entered the MCU to play an undisclosed role in 2025’s ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps.’ Lyonne’s co-star, Elizabeth Olsen, previously appeared in the franchise as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch.

“No, she needs no advice,” Olsen recently said when GamesRadar+ asked if she had any advice for the actress. “She can handle her own in the world. She’s a very tough broad. She knows she can navigate any situation; I think.”

Marvel didn’t reveal the plot details of ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ yet but hired Matt Shakman, who previously worked on ‘WandaVision,’ to direct.

“It’s different in so many ways,” the director explained in 2023. “I wish I could be specific. I wish I could say more. But we are doing things very differently from a story standpoint, from an approach to the filmmaking standpoint, that really fits the material. I wish I could say more. I would love to, but I can’t. But I think it’s going to be unlike anything you’ve seen before, and certainly unlike anything at Marvel that you’ve seen before.”

The cast featured Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch. Ralph Ineson joined to play Galactus and Julia Garner to appear as Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer.

The filming started on July 30 at Pinewood Studios in London for a release on July 25, 2025.
