Tom Hiddleston Explains Why He’s Not Done With Loki Yet

The actor believes there is still more to explore about the God of Mischief.

Loki’s story seemed to conclude with him sacrificing himself by taking the throne at the end of time to save all the timelines in the second season of his show. But Tom Hiddleston shared in a recent interview with Collider that there are more stories to tell about the Marvel anti-hero and expressed his willingness to take on the role again.

“In terms of scratching the surface, I mean, he’s a character who’s been around for almost 3,000 years, and he represents unpredictability, boundary-crossing, disruption, and the question mark,” he explained. “So, I feel like if I ever got a chance to play the character again, there are 1,000 things I haven’t done. He’s constantly changing, as are we all.”

That being said, the Marvel star has doubts about a ‘Loki’ Season 3. “I truthfully don’t know. I am so proud of where we landed in Season 2,” he told Variety back in April. “To go from this lost, broken soul in Asgard, and be given a second chance and learn so much about life that he actually gives himself to protect other people, has been such an honor.”

Tom Hiddleston played the God of Mischief in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2011’s ‘Thor.’ He appeared in all of the ‘Thor’ trilogy as well as three ‘Avengers’ films, and several ‘What If…?’ episodes.

The actor is currently busy with non-Marvel projects, though. He is starring in the new sci-fi drama film, ‘The Life of Chuck,’ as an accountant who suddenly starts appearing everywhere.

The film is based on Stephen King’s novella of the same name and also features Mark Hamill as Albie Krantz, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Marty Anderson, and Karen Gillan as Felicia Gordon.

‘The Life of Chuck’ premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6.
