Daniel Craig Has A ‘Cold’ Response For Who Should Replace Him As New James Bond

Craig’s answer is both hilarious and honest.

Daniel Craig gave a brief three-word reply on who should replace him as James Bond.

“I don’t care,” the actor simply replied when asked by Variety who should be the next Bond. Craig confirmed he’s leaving as James Bond, so everyone has been wondering who will replace him.

While we don’t know when the next Bond movie will be, there are many rumors about who could be the new 007. It’s been three years since ‘No Time to Die,’ Craig’s last Bond film.

Even though the Bond franchise is very successful, it seems no one is rushing to make a new movie. Two years ago, it was rumored that the next Bond film would likely come out in two years, but that hasn’t happened.

Names like Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Henry Cavill, and Michael Fassbender have been mentioned as new James Bond. Right now, the favorite seems to be Aaron Taylor-Johnson. However, fans will have to wait longer for an official announcement about the 26th Bond film.

Craig is now focused on a new series, starring as Benoit Blanc in Rian Johnson’s mystery films, and he’s also in a new movie called ‘Queer.’ The movie, based on a book by William S. Burroughs, follows Craig’s character, Lee, a troubled man living in 1940s Mexico City. Lee lives a restless life but becomes deeply interested in a quiet man named Allerton (played by Drew Starkey).

“Scripts don’t come around like this very often, so when they do, you grab them,” Craig previously said of the movie. “I didn’t know what the end result would be, but I knew the journey would be something else.”

The actor added, “Certainly the reason I wanted to get into cinema was because of movies like this. It’s something I was doing a lot of in my early career before I did the other thing.”

Directed by Luca Guadagnino and written by Justin Kuritzkes, ‘Queer’ will hit the theaters on February 13, 2025.
