Kevin Feige recently talked to io9 about Marvel’s plans for new projects and confirmed that Tom Holland-led ‘Spider-Man 4’ was in pre-production:
“Amy [Pascal] and I are working on it. We have writers who are going to be delivering us a draft relatively soon.”
The Studio Is Taking It Slow To Protect Spider-Man’s Legacy
Filming for ‘Spider-Man 4’ is yet to start although it’s expected for release in 2025. Conflicts between Sony and Marvel slowed down the production lately. Holland shared last May:
“We have the best in the business working toward whatever the story might be. But until we’ve cracked it, we have a legacy to protect. The third movie was so special in so many ways that we need to make sure we do the right thing.”
Possible Production Date For The Upcoming Film
Earlier talks suggested that principal photography for the fourth installment would kick off in September-October, following Holland’s role in ‘Romeo & Juliet.’ Sony reportedly rushed production in February to make up for the failure of ‘Madame Web.’
The plot and full cast for the next Spider-Man film are yet to be revealed, but there are rumors Zendaya and Marisa Tomei may join Tom Holland on screen.
